We had lots of work and lots of fun on June 1, 2024, Planting Kickoff at Lake Pasadena. The City of St. Petersburg had prepared for this final stage by first bringing in tons of boulders to stabilize the shoulders and banks of the lake, then covering them with topsoil and then sod. SoUL (Stewards of Our Urban Lakes) environmental experts Jim Bays and Margaret Zak oversaw our early efforts and explained how we must move forward with additional plants and maintenance of what we’ve begun. We are immensely grateful to both.
