How to nominate a Yard of the Month

Celebrate lush, green, wild, and beautiful Florida with your neighbors!

There are so many amazing gardeners in this neighborhood. We want to recognize and celebrate all the beauty you create and get inspired with creative new ideas!

Nomination Process

Nominating a garden is so simple – just three easy steps! Anytime you notice a lawn or garden you think is especially beautiful:

1. Print out a Yard of the Month Notification & Consent form and fill out the field for your name and address so the recipient knows who is appreciating them! Leave that form with the neighbor you nominate so they can decide if they want to participate.
   • If for any reason you aren’t able to complete this step, simply complete the following steps and add a note in the email with the photos letting us know that step still needs to get done.
2. Fill out the Nomination form below
3. Send a photo of the yard to yom@lpena.groups.io with the subject line “YOM nomination for address: (put address of the yard being nominated here)“

On first Monday of each month, our board members will select next month’s Yard of the Month. Any nominations not selected will go onto a rolling list for future months’ selection.

Get your nominations in early! The Yard of the Month coordinator will collect and organize photos and nominations for the board to review the friday before the next board meeting.

If the selected nominee agrees to participate, then a photo of their beautiful yard will be published and their address shared with members who want to stop by to see their masterpiece and get inspired!
