We’re excited to announce the September Neighborhood Association Yard of the Month! Congratulations to Prad and Hasina Rampersaud at 6183 4th Ave. N for creating a beautiful, welcoming space that truly stands out in our community. Their dedication to maintaining a vibrant and well-designed yard has added so much charm to the neighborhood, and we’re thrilled to recognize their efforts.
Prad and Hasina’s yard exemplifies formal landscape design, with its beautifully symmetrical lines, geometric shapes, and meticulously planned sections. The structured layout creates a sense of order and elegance, with straight edges and long sight lines guiding the eye through the space. Manicured lawns and precisely trimmed hedges contribute to the polished, sophisticated appearance, while formal flower beds add just the right touch of color. This yard is a perfect example of balance and harmony, showcasing the refined and timeless appeal of formal landscaping.
We encourage everyone to take a walk by 6183 4th Ave. N to appreciate their hard work and maybe even get inspired with ideas for your own yard! Look for the Yard of the Month sign out front!

Nomination Process
Nominating a garden is so simple – just three easy steps! Anytime you notice a lawn or garden you think is especially beautiful:
- Print out a Yard of the Month Notification & Consent form and fill out the field for your name and address so the recipient knows who is appreciating them! Leave that form with the neighbor you nominate so they can decide if they want to participate.
- If for any reason you aren’t able to complete this step, simply complete the following steps and add a note in the email with the photos letting us know that step still needs to get done.
- Fill out the Nomination form below
- Send a photo of the yard to yom@lpena.groups.io with the subject line “YOM nomination for address: (put address of the yard being nominated here)“
On first Monday of each month, our board members will select next month’s Yard of the Month. Any nominations not selected will go onto a rolling list for future months’ selection.
Get your nominations in early! The Yard of the Month coordinator will collect and organize photos and nominations for the board to review the friday before the next board meeting.
If the selected nominee agrees to participate, then a photo of their beautiful yard will be published and their address shared with members who want to stop by to see their masterpiece and get inspired!
